            Door prizes, entertainment, and a barbecue cookoff follow at Lion's Park

What:    A Salute to Oklahoma rally on the south side of the State Capitol

 

When:    Saturday, October 17th, 10 a.m. to noon;

 

Info:    To recognize and support first responders, military, and essential workers;
            Also farmers and the transporation industry;
            Recognize the 20th anniversary of the Oklahoma City bombing;

What:    Second annual "Blowing Smoke" cook-off

 

When:    Saturday, October 17th, 4 p.m.

 

Where:    Lions Park

 

Info:    Two-man teams welcome, entry fee is $150;
            Top prize is $500; Meat is provided;
            Cookers meeting Friday, Oct. 16th, 6-8 p.m. at the chamber;
            Wristbands are $5 for the public;
            Inflatables and snow cones available

                Items by donation, starting as little as $1 per item;
                Masks required during visit;
                Books, books on CD, magazines; lots of items for sale;
                Proceeds help the library purchase new materials
