Ashwini Ramaswamy’s Let The Crows Come is a multi-media event for three dancers with music. Bharatanatyam, a major form of Indian classical dance, is deconstructed and recontextualized to recall a story with a shared origin but remembered differently from person to person. Evoking mythography and ancestry, the performance uses the metaphor of crows as messengers for the living and guides for the departed.
